Friends, I really need prayer in this. Selfishly, I want you to pray that God would move in a mighty way, and we would be notified this week of when the interview is.
I know this is not necessarily a bad request. And, if that is how you pray, I welcome it! But, even more than this, I really and truly ask you to pray that God would help me to rest in Him.
Are you ready?!?Just a couple of hours after I posted those words, our attorney received an email… with the date of our interview!!! Monday, July 7, at 6:45a.m.
Thank you for your prayers. I am humbled by the messages and comments assuring me that you were standing with me in this. I’m thankful for brothers and sisters in Christ who lift me up when I cannot do it for myself.We went out with dear friends yesterday evening, and so I didn’t even see the email from our attorney until nearly 11 last night. We had a nice time with them, little knowing that there was big news waiting in my inbox!
Carlos just walked into the living room where I’m typing and said to me, We need to proclaim the glory of God to our friends. This can help increase their faith, too. (See why I love him?!) I assured him I was on it!And that is our prayer. That hearing this miraculous news wouldn’t just make you glad for us, but would help increase your faith in our amazing God. That He meets us right where we are, and gives us tangible reminders of His presence with us.
Now, it’s time to get to work on all the details. But, we rejoice with you in God’s provision. Thank you again and again for praying. And, we ask that you continue to lift us up in the next weeks! I know there will be plenty more opportunity for me to get freaked out if I am not careful!
